ACEC Ohio Realigns Executive Director and President Titles

At the December board meeting, the Board of Directors approved changes to the bylaws that will change the titles of the Council’s volunteer and staff leaders. The transition will realign the title of the Executive Director to President of ACEC Ohio, while the Board of Directors titles will change from President and Vice President to Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively.

The Board of Directors believes this transition will provide a more desirable perception of the strengths within the organization and the leadership of ACEC Ohio. The reconstruction of titles will in turn clarify the roles of the Council’s volunteer leaders and the Council’s staff leadership by aligning titles to what is more commonly used in businesses.

Beth Easterday, Executive Director of ACEC Ohio, is now the President of ACEC Ohio. Michael E. Duffey, of SSOE Group in Toledo, Ohio, is now Chairman and Fred Seling, of Engineering Associates, Inc., in Wooster, Ohio, is now Vice Chairman.

In making this transition, ACEC Ohio will join nine other ACEC Member Organizations that have already made this change: New York, Georgia, Oklahoma, Missouri, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington and Wisconsin.
