Two months remain till deadline for submission of Engineering Excellence Awards competition entries

Many ACEC Ohio firms are busy preparing their entries for the 2016 Engineering Excellence Awards competition, but even if you haven't started yours yet, you still have two months to "git 'er done."

You'd be hard-pressed to find a program that provides a greater return on your investment than the EEA competition.  When you enter one of your best projects, you will be generating valuable public recognition for your company, strengthening your relationship with a key client, and publicly congratulating your staff for a job well done.

For nearly half a century, ACEC has conducted this annual awards competition, which "recognizes engineering firms for projects that demonstrate an exceptional degree of innovation, complexity, achievement and value."

Every year engineering companies from across the country enter their most innovative design projects and studies in state competitions, such as ACEC Ohio’s, with the top entries from each state advancing to the national competition in Washington.

You shouldn't assume that the EEA competition is intended to recognize only "mega projects." Many relatively small projects walk away with top awards at both the state and national level. In fact, ACEC Ohio has a special entry category for small projects (less than $2.5 million for design and construction).

The deadline for submission of entries to the ACEC Ohio office is the close of business on Wednesday, November 2.
