Lynn Miggins begins service as new ACEC Ohio President

Lynn S. Miggins, of KS Associates, Inc., in Elyria, assumed the reins as the new president of ACEC Ohio at the Council's Annual Meeting on June 25, succeeding Richard J. Iafelice, of CT Consultants, Inc.

Ms. Miggins has served on the ACEC Ohio Board of Directors since 2010, most recently as vice president. In 1987 she became president and majority owner of KS Associates, a civil engineering firm that provides professional engineering and surveying services for public infrastructure projects.

Her volunteer board positions include Team Lorain County, University of Akron Women in Engineering Advisory Council, and UH Elyria Medical Center. She is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Water Works Association (AWWA), and Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS).

Miggins is the recipient of the ASCE 2015 Outstanding Civil Engineer of the Year Award. She is also a 2013 Cleveland Engineering Society Hall of Fame inductee – the highest award given to an individual by the Society — and is a recipient of the Women of Achievement Award from the Elyria YWCA.
