PAC Kick-off a Huge Success

PAC event attendees

With special guests, Attorney General Mike DeWine and the voice of the Buckeyes Jim Lachey, over 50 ACEC Ohio members mixed and mingled tasting the spirits distilled at Watershed Distillery on February 9, 2017. This inaugural event was held to bring ACEC Ohio members together to support the ACEC Ohio PAC and the ACEC/PAC which enable us to keep important industry issues in front of both the Ohio General Assembly and Congress. ACEC Ohio’s goal is to be proactive and effective advocates for the consulting engineering community, a robust PAC program helps us achieve this goal.

Attorney General DeWine discussed the importance of advocacy, why it is important to know and engage your elected officials in their own “home” district. Jim Lachey shared his football career from The Ohio State University, to the San Diego Chargers and finally onto winning the super bowl with the Washington Redskins.  Jim also discussed the changes in the Buckeye football coaching staff.
