Federal Infrastructure and FAR Credit Clause Update

A note from Steve Hall-- the Senate appears to be on track to pass the bipartisan infrastructure package this week.  Click here for a summary of the bill’s key provisions for your reference, and you can access the 2700-plus page bill text here

I’m also pleased to report that Senators Tammy Duckworth (D-IL) and Mike Braun (R-IN) have agreed to lead the effort to include ACEC’s language in the bill to waive the FAR credits clause as it applies to forgiven PPP loans for firms working on DOT and transit projects.  Their amendment is gaining additional bipartisan support from Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Alex Padilla (R-CA), and Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), with many more likely to join.  We understand that there will be amendments to the package permitted, and at present Senators Duckworth and Braun are working to get our language added to a larger amendment intended to address bipartisan non-controversial requests.

We’ll keep you informed as this process develops.
