Final ODOT Guidance for Conflict of Interest on Federally Funded LPA Projects

After discussion and comments from ACEC Ohio, the Ohio Department of Transportation revised the conflict of interest guidance for federally funded LPA projects as they relate to LPA's with a contracted consultant serving as a municipal engineer.  The following is outlined in ODOT's documentation:

1) A consultant serving as municipal engineer can perform pre-funding services.

2) A consultant serving as municipal engineer can perform the design work on a federally funded LPA project.

3) A consultant serving as a municipal engineer CAN NOT review their own work or invoices.
