Each year, ACEC Ohio conducts a member survey to gather insights into member opinions and concerns about the industry, assess perceptions of the organization’s strengths, and identify opportunities to enhance value for our members. The survey participants represented a diverse cross-section of the association in terms of firm size, discipline, and geographic region. We were pleased to learn that our members consider ACEC/ACEC Ohio to be their primary resource for information on engineering business practices, which aligns with our mission.

The survey also asked members to rank the benefits of being an ACEC Ohio member. The top three responses were:

• Lobbying/Political Activity
• Networking and Exposure to State Agencies and Clients
• Committee Participation and Access to Industry Information

The events members participate in are listed below:

Survey respondents were asked to identify the most significant issues facing the industry. While many challenges were mentioned, three stood out as the most pressing: workforce shortages—particularly finding and retaining talent, securing reliable funding for projects, and adapting to the rapid rise of AI and new technologies.
